Abundant Life Academy is a powerful Christian boarding school,
providing the practical reality that troubled teens need. Abundant
Life Academy is on the cutting edge of academics, spiritual
growth, and vocational training. Abundant Life Academy presents
a full package, filled with power, performance, and promise.
Abundant Life Academy is the alternative to the traditional
boarding school, the therapeutic boarding school, and the emotional
boarding school. Abundant Life Academy is a powerful college
preparatory school for the struggling and troubled teen.
Educational consultants consider ALA to be an alternative
to the emotional growth & therapeutic boarding school,
as ALA specializes in transitioning students from adolescence
into adulthood. We considered Abundant Life Academy to be
a fresh educational alternative to the therapeutic boarding
school, where there is a strong commitment to academic pursuits
and Christ-centered (non-denominational) leadership training.
Abundant Life Academy is considered to be a challenging "preparatory"
school, taking young men and women from adolescence and training
them to meet the responsibilities of adulthood. We prepare
our students to grasp their future with confidence and boldness.
Abundant Life Academy also offers a comprehensive independent
life skills curriculum that is designed to prepare a young
adult to live independently and make it on his own.
Abundant Life Academy offers a year round academic program
enhanced with an intense emotional growth curriculum using
the principles found in the Holy Bible. We not only study
the principles taught by Jesus Christ, we learn to apply those
principles in all that we do. We learn to tap into the power
of God, as we find Him to be our life source and strength.
We are in pursuit of calling forth the destiny that God placed
in each of our student-leaders.
Abundant Life Academy is an excellent choice for a young
man or woman who has struggled to find his/her identity and
purpose and has made some mistakes in the past. The Abundant
Life Academy candidate is either a natural born leader who
has followed the wrong path, and now is dedicated to getting
back to the business of walking in power and creating opportunities
for himself and others, or a follower who has connected with
all the wrong peers. No matter what dreams the ALA student
decides for his/her future, through a time of advanced training
at Abundant Life Academy he/she will derive a rich foundation
that he can tap into the rest of his life.
ALA is a spiritual and emotional maturity-training center,
providing Christian character development and leadership training.
We do not provide therapy, treatment, or mental health counseling.
We do however provide academic and career counseling, as well
as life mentoring.
MORE THAN A BOARDING SCHOOL
Abundant Life Academy is not an institution; we are a Leadership
Training Center. At Abundant Life Academy our students learn
more about life outside of the classroom, as we give attention
to practicing life from a Christ-centered family prospective.
We provide opportunity for our students to live out Christian
leadership principles.
Today's young people face many challenges they never imagined
by any generation before. Who is going to lead them through
the darkness and into the light? ALA is an excellent choice
for a young person who needs powerful ways to cope with real
life pressures. The ALA student learns what real discipline
is; he/she also learns to increase character through difficult
trials, and gain practical leadership skills that make a difference
in his everyday life.
OUR HISTORY
In response to the overwhelming need for a school that will
fulfill the lack of Christian leadership rarely found in most
emotional growth and traditional boarding schools, Craig Rogers
founded Abundant Life Academy (December 2000) as an alternative
option for teens.
Most specialty schools do not have an emphasis on Christian
training. Craig has developed Abundant Life Academy to be
a powerful alternative to the run of the mill emotional growth/transitional
program, emphasizing a foundation firmly grounded in the love
and transforming power of Jesus Christ.
Abundant Life Academy Staff

Craig & Wendy Rogers 
God gave Craig Rogers a vision over 30 years ago. The vision
was about ministering and leading others out of the wilderness,
a vision of healing and wellness. This vision shaped and molded
Craig's personality and character over the course of his life.
For a long time it did not seem that the vision would ever
materialize. Craig was a troubled teen, lost, and on a pathway
of total destruction. Craig was wrapped up in the ways of
the world, and the epitome of the unmotivated gifted individual.
Even though Craig possessed great potential and incredible
leadership qualities, he was leading himself and others in
the wrong direction. Then God did a mighty work, stretching
out His hand and touched Craig's heart. Craig's transformation
was on the same level as was Paul's as he walked along the
road to Damascus. Craig carries a God-ordained call to reach
the hearts of teens with the love of God.
Donna Zetts
 Donna Zetts is a former parent of Abundant Life Academy,
and intimately aware of what parents go through when faced
with a troubled teen. Donna’s experience with her troubled
son sent her to her knees in search of God’s plan for
his life. In the process, Donna got reacquainted with her
Lord and Savior, and her relationship deepened and enriched
her life in every way. Additionally, Donna became so involved
in the experience of her son’s restoration she ended
up joining the Abundant Life Academy ministry and is currently
ALA’s President, Student Loan Director, as well as a
board member.
Rod Quarnberg
 Rod Quarnberg has been a part of the ALA team since August of 2005. Rod came to ALA as the principal after serving for 19 years as a teacher, coach and administrator in the public school system.
Rod was raised on a cattle ranch in central Utah and completed his bachelor’s degree from Southern Utah University. He then taught math for 19 years, 18 of which were in Kanab Utah. He was an assistant football coach for 10 of those years and a head football coach for 8 years, was an assistant basketball coach also for 10 of those years and athletic administrator for 6 years.
Rod and his wife, Kim, have lived in Kanab Utah for the past 22 years where they have enjoyed raising four wonderful children that range in age from 24 to 16. His family and his faith are two of his greatest passions in life.
During his time teaching at Kanab High School, Rod earned his master degree in education with an administration endorsement. This opened the door for him to go full time into administration at Abundant Life Academy.
Rod now enjoys an opportunity to affect young people as never before. He also enjoys all sports but is most passionate about golf. He enjoys his position at ALA very much.
